Hi, I’m Elena Ioannoni, the creator of ECTO. I’ve always been part of the aviation world: ever since I was a child, I would look up to the sky, searching for a helicopter in flight.

Over time, this passion grew, giving me the opportunity to gain experience in the industry, connect with professionals, and develop a deep understanding of the unique dynamics that define the aviation sector.

At the heart of ECTO is a clear mission: to simplify the complexities of aviation while driving innovation and excellence. I created ECTO with the goal of providing tailored consultancy and training solutions for businesses in the aviation industry. Based in Switzerland, we are supported by a Team of dedicated professionals, committed to delivering customized solutions to meet the evolving needs of the sector..

My Journey

My journey began with a deep-rooted passion for helicopters and aviation, which led me to pursue studies in Aerospace Engineering and earn a Bachelor’s degree in Science and Technology of Transportation.

  • Career highlights:
    • I began my career in continuing airworthiness, building extensive expertise in the field.
    • I expanded my focus to compliance and safety, accumulating 16 years of experience in compliance monitoring, safety management, air operations, and training.
    • I gained a multidisciplinary background by working in technical roles, flight operations, and training, including pilot training and technical maintenance schools.

Commitment to continuous professional development

I have cultivated a strong commitment to professional growth, reflecting ECTO’s dedication to innovation and excellence.

  • Certifications:
    • I hold a BSI Diploma in Quality Management ISO 9001:2015.
    • I expanded my expertise to include ISO 27001:2022 Information Security, Cybersecurity, and Privacy Protection.
    • I am a certified facilitator of the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® method and materials.

This ongoing commitment ensures that my knowledge remains at the forefront of industry standards and best practices.

Professional Approach and Leadership

My approach is structured, precise, and pragmatic, resulting in a proven track record of delivering impactful results for my clients.

  • Educational Contributions:
    • I serve as a lecturer at SUPSI (University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland) in Managerial Engineering, specializing in aviation.
    • I also act as a thesis tutor.

Active Contributions to Aviation Safety

In 2023, I became an active member of the Swiss Safety Committee, further strengthening my commitment to staying at the forefront of aviation safety and compliance.
